Recipe

  1. Red Seedless Grapes – 2 cups
  2. Black Seedless Grapes – 2 cups
  3. Strawberries – 1 cup.
  4. Water.

Extract/blend until smooth.

Serve in a glass cup and enjoy.

This is sweet. #Yummy.

Recipe.

You can use either fresh or frozen.

Recipe

Kale – 1 Bunch

Broccoli- 11/2 Bunches

Cauliflower – 1 Bunch

Prawns

Chicken – Grilled or Smoked

Onions- 2

Ginger- Medium size (Gated)

Garlic- 5 pieces

Chili powder.

Olive oil.

Salt & spices to taste.

How to Cook.

  1. Wash your Kale , Broccoli & Cauliflower thoroughly, thrice is advisable
  2. Cut the vegetables into smaller bits.
  3. Peel your onions , wash and cut into bits
  4. Peel the ginger and grate using your handy grater.
  5. Peel the garlic and dice.
  6. Add a small quantity of olive oil into your saucepan and allow to heat for a 2 minutes.
  7. Add Onion, Garlic, Ginger and stir
  8. Add salt and spices to taste.
  9. Add Prawns and allow to cook for about 5 minutes.Add the cut chicken and stir.
  10. Add Broccoli and stir.
  11. Add Kale and stir
  12. Add Cauliflower and stir.
  13. Allow to cook for 5 minutes.
  14. Serve and enjoy with small portion of brown rice, quinoa or just like that.

1 Cucumber

1 Green Apple

1 Lemon (squeezed)

Water

Cut the Cucumber to into pieces.

Cut the Apple into pieces

Squeeze the juice from the lemon and pour into the cup of your respective extractor.

Extract until smooth and enjoy.

5 Simple Steps To Healthy Eating .

Eating healthy is simple and easy if you are ready to follow the few steps below.

  1. Water should be your friend so drink, drink, drink.

Water

The recommended volume of water for an adult is at least 2 litres of water daily. Drinking water doesn’t have to be boring, you can spice it up with lemon and mint leaves if you like.

Drinking water before you eat fills your stomach, helps digestion and prevents you from overeating.

2.  Ditch fried foods for baked, grilled, steamed, or fresh. It is advisable to cook with extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil instead of palm oil or vegetable oil.

3. Swap your big plates for smaller ones.

Eating with smaller plates helps you to control the volume of the food you eat per time. Portion control is your friend in this journey.

4. Reduce your carbohydrates and fatty foods , eat more of proteins, vegetables and fruits. There are so many fun ways of cooking vegetables, look up the internet and learn to eat fresh.

5. Consciously avoid artificial sugar.

Sugar is a silent killer and it is hidden in most foods and drinks we have daily.

One good way to do this is to stop taking soft drinks even the zero sugar ones still have sugar.

Also read the labels of food and drinks you want to buy as producers are mandated to disclose the sugar contents of their products.

You can use pure honey in small quantity as a substitute for sugar if you are sure of the source as there are lots of noney out there made from sugar or with high artificial sugar content.

Healthy eating is a journey which demands consistency and dedication in order to get results.

So you like to paint the town red with a smoothie that has class, look no further, i have got this made for you.

I am quite sure you will love it because it is sweet.

Recipe.

1 Beetroot, 1 Apple

3 Carrots, 1/4 Ginger

1/4 Watermelon, ½ Lemon

2 Tbsp Gojiberries

2 Tbsp Chia seeds

1 ½ Cups of Water

Extract till smooth and serve on ice.

Detox Green Smoothie

If you feel your body is overloaded, like mine was after a weekend on a resort in the Sunshine coast, you may like to make a quick detox smoothie, like the one i made.

Recipe.

4 Celery Stalks

1 Lemon juice

1/2 Lime juice.

Extract until smooth.

Serve on ice and enjoy.

Followers of my blog know by now that my love for Kale knows no bound. Apart from the nutritional benefits, i love the fact that it is still crunchy in your mouth despite cooking it for a while.

Recipe;

Kale (fresh or frozen), Prawns, Salmon, Garlic

Ginger, Onion, Mixed Herbs & spices.

How to cook it?

1.Pour a little quantity of extra virgin olive oil into the pot (mine was a tad much tho).

2. Allow to heat for 2 minutes

3. Add the cut Garlic first , followed by ginger.

4. Add the cut onion and salt to taste.

5. Stir the three ingredients and allow to cook for 2 minutes.

6. Add the washed and peeled prawns.

7.Add your salmon.

8.  Stir all and allow to cook for 5 minutes.

9. Add your kale

10. Allow to steam for 5 minutes and it is ready to be served.

Eat with a small portion of any carbohydrate you like Rice, Semo, Eba, Pounded Yam if you want.

I was kind of bored and thought of what i could do with a few items i found in the kitchen.

It came out quite sweet tho. so i encourage you to give it a shot.

Recipe;

1 Lemon (squeeze juice)

1/2 Lime (squeeze juice)

1/2 Grapefruit (squeeze juice)

1 cup of Pineapple

1 small cup of Coconut Water

1 1/2 Red apples (Peeled & Cored).

1 Tablespoon of Chia Seeds.

Serve in a glass and enjoy.

By the way, i use a NutriBullet juice extractor which gives the opportunity to extract all the nutrients in my fruits and vegetables.

Take Carrots Everywhere You Go.

Thinking of what to snack on in between meals or while in traffic, carrots come quite handy for me.

I take them almost everywhere possible, washed and ready to eat.

They are not messy and can fit into pockets, backpacks or ladies bags.

So instead of a Candy, Chocolate or Gala, eat carrots because they are healthy and guilt free.
